Wolfson -> On friday morning, at Simon's class, only five students showed up, so he decided to take us to Wolfson College to show us where he lived! O.O We walked till there (about 10 minutes) and got in. I have to agree with Flora: It is just beautiful! I would love to live there, even though is a modern building, unlike the other colleges around here. ^^
I went first to the coutyeard and the pigeon holes, where they put the mail. It was a cloudy day, but the college was beautiful anyway. I took around 50 pictures and recorded two movies. We went to the room he lived, which was kinda small, but really cozy. His wife was there. She is an academic and teaches Russian History (she had a lot of Russian books! xP). Wolfson College is just for academics and post-graduated students.
After his room we went to the gardens and the lake, which are undescribable! *___* Even in the winter it's beautiful. After that, to the dining room, which is huge and then to the commom room, with a lot of old people having tea! xD Later to the library, which I found pretty big. Anyway, I don't have much time to describe, but the college is gorgeous and pictures will definetly speak for themselves. I was glad to actually enter an Oxford college (really enter it) for the first time. Thanks to Simon! ^^
FLORA! I`m SO sorry but I was so bloody mesmarized by the college that I forgot to get a little stone for you! >< I'll ask simon for it! ><
Friday Afternoon -> After school I went out with Uliana for some shopping in Oxford, for it was the last day for her to do it. We bought some presents for her friends, I made a few phone calls and she went home. I found a secondhand bookshop called Oxfam, which is a big charity and LOVED it! Found the first vollume of History of Middle-Earth (in Waterstones around 10 pounds) for 2.5 pounds! AND the Mists of Avalon (all four) for 2.5 pounds! That less than 15 reais! *__________*
Got home and took a shower. Shileah (I think that's how to spell it... She is the oldest grand daughter of the Days) got there to spend the night. We ordered Indian Food! de.li.ci.ous.!!!
Warwick -> On saturday we travelled to Stratford, but before we got to the city, we first went to the Warwick castle! It is an almost 1.000 years old medieval castle! With towers, dungeons and amazing exibitions! I walked aroud all day, and LOVED it. After all, it's SO me! xD
The swords, armors, clothes... All of that was more than wonderful! *_____________*
Startford -> We got to Startford after lunch time. It is a small town that Shakspeare was born in. First we went to his birthplace, which became a museum of Shakspeare, telling the story of his life and his works. Amazing! *_* Afterwards, me Vanessa and Peter walked around looking for stuff to buy and just zapping around the town. Ate at the McDonnald's to buy the sale: Two McChicken for the price of one! ^^ Gooooooooood! Went back to England. Uliana went away after that... ;_; I will definetly miss her! >< Peter and I gave her a little present before she left!
Saturday Evening -> It was Brian's (my host father) birthday on saturday, so everybody was going out and they asked me if I wanted to go. I said yers and we went bowling! It was VERY good. We got there and stood some time waiting for a lane. Steve (Karl's brother) was there, woth his girlfriend, Mickey (the youg girl) and Milie (two year old and REALLY cute). Me, Mickey and Shileah played a lot of coin games and danced DDR! Afterwards, we got a lane and started to bowl! xD
Me and Karl were terrible, so we kept saying we were just warmimg up and all that! It was really funny! ^^ Steve won by FAR score! xD And after nine o'clock they turned the bowling area in like a disco, so all the lights went out and there was "dark light" and all that, with lasers and e-music! *_______*
Got home, we ordered chinease and I went to bed! xD
Sunday -> I met Camila and Marina Ramos, finally! We talked a lot on the bus on our way to London! (before actually getting to the bus I had to come back home, for I had forgot my pass, so Karl gave me a ride for me not be late! xD)
I really missed Camila... And I hadn't seen Marina in like, ages! xD
I got to London and we went fisrt to Abby Road! it was funny because we crossed every single street before knowing which was the right one! xDDDD Then, they went o Madame Tussaud and I walked around Baker Street. I found THE Beatles store there, but it was then that I realized I had forgoten my wallet and was totally out of money in London! ><
Called my mom, and then Henrique and he said that he thought I was coming on saturday and not sunday. He apologized a lot of times and said he would meet me and 4 o'clock wherever I was. I asked him how could I get to the British Museum and he told me it was just a 20 muinute walk. Turned out to be a one hour walk, but I did enjoy it! ^^
When I got thete I went to the greek section, saw the Alaxander the Great exibition (I think I'm going to see the movie today! xD), chinease, persian, egiptian, roman and finally a FANTASTIC japanease exibition of Samurai swords (I thought so much about Arthur... )!!! *_______*
I also went to the reading room, which is sort of a Beauty and the Beast library, SO beautiful. Real silence in there, really peaceful.
I called Henrique and he and Debbie met me there for tea and a muffin! I really missed Debbie, and it was fantastic to see her again. They took me in their nice little car (but *______* on the inside) to the bus and I got back to Oxford. Watched a movies called "Open Water" at night. Sorta panicking, but I liked it! xD
I got to go! Class, class, class! Miss you guys! >
