lu: (Just like in the movies)
It's been a while. Well, more than a week, really.

I would just like to say that, yes, I am alive. Almost.

Though not as pleased as I wished with my grades. Hope I can get better. --'

Only two more essays to finish and one exam to take. *breathes* Finally. I seriously don't want to think about how I will behave on my Senior year.

There were two other films. I don't know the name of the second one in English or even the original title, which is Swedish, if I'm not mistaken. Liked it very much, but unfortunately slept a bit through it, for was immensely tired. The third film was so weird and crazy (Harry, un ami qui vous veut du bien) that I'm not even sure if it's worth an LJ-cut. Plus, like I said, I'm lazy today. *grins*

*coughs* Am sick. Lovely.

-> English presentation on SDT - 22/08.

-> Geography essay on neo-liberalism - 22/08.
-> Finish Roman Economy theses - 23/08.

-> Chemistry exam - no idea.
-> Biology exam - no idea.
-> Math exam - 19/08.

*sighs*

I knew I was going to regret not working during vacations (though, even now, I'm still not sure if I do).

I'll be happy if I survive at all (a.k.a. get something better than an eight on everything).

May not be around much.

"I've just decided to switch our Friday schedule to Monday, which means that the test we take each Friday on what we learned during the week will now take place on Monday before we've learned it. But since today is Tuesday, it doesn't matter in the slightest." - Mr. Turkentine, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

You like bowling, don't you, Montag?

If you don't want a man unhappy politically, don't give him two sides to a question to worry him; give him one. Better yet, give him none. If the government is inefficient, topheavy, and tax-mad, better it be all those than that people worry over it. Peace, Montag. Give the people contests they win by remembering the words to more popular songs or the names of state capitals or how much corn Iowa grew last year. Cram them full of noncombustible data, chock them so damned full of 'facts' they feel stuffed, but absolutely 'brilliant' with information. Then they'll feel like they're thinking, they'll get a sense of motion without moving. And they'll be happy, because facts of that sort don't change. Don't give them any slippery stuff like philosophy or sociology to tie things up with. That way lies melancholy.
