2 for 1

Great day. Vika was the major responsible for it. Ok, maybe my headmaster's class helped a little.

I missed that boy so much. Seriously, can't live without him. I'm considering starting a campaign for girls to adopt a gay friend as soon as possible. They can come at handy when you least expect it. Though you will have to take care of him like your own child, so there will be expenses.

Or you can just be smart and get yourself a rich gay friend.

Anyway, we went to the movies to see Maria Full of Grace. For the first time in a few weeks we managed to see the trailers, the Dolby add and the beginning of the movie properly! Which is a record when it comes to us.

Afterwards we did our usual tour through the Americanas DVD session. I finally found a good film (Devil's Advocate) at the "2 for 1" Warner Brothers' sale to buy along with A Clockwork Orange. The only problem was that there were no available copies of Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece, so I had to look for another film.

Half an hour later me and Vika left the store with The Devil's Advocate, Matrix, less 38-and-something bucks, and a big Hersey's chocolate bar.

We walked home having a sexuality crisis on the way. He made some popcorn and we watched one of the best Sex and the City episodes ever: The Post-it Always Sticks Twice.

Pichi also stopped by in the middle.

Goddess, I missed these people.

Maria Full of Grace (USA/Colombia, 2004) **** - Very, very, very good movie. Surprised me, for I wasn't expecting much. Catalina Sandino Moreno (that plays Maria) proved that she deserved that Oscar nomination (though Hilary Swank difinitely owned the Oscar itself).

Two little, but very significant notes:

-> My cell phone was oficially retired yesterday, and now I'm using my dad's former mobile. But even though it is great, I will take a while to get used to it (sending SMS messages will be a pain for some time).

-> I finally got my oh-so-perfect iPod! And it is even-more-than-oh-so-perfect! The waiting was totally worth it. I've decided to name it "L". No idea why, it just popped into my head when the program demanded a baptism.

My two new babies. *Happy mom*

You like bowling, don't you, Montag?

If you don't want a man unhappy politically, don't give him two sides to a question to worry him; give him one. Better yet, give him none. If the government is inefficient, topheavy, and tax-mad, better it be all those than that people worry over it. Peace, Montag. Give the people contests they win by remembering the words to more popular songs or the names of state capitals or how much corn Iowa grew last year. Cram them full of noncombustible data, chock them so damned full of 'facts' they feel stuffed, but absolutely 'brilliant' with information. Then they'll feel like they're thinking, they'll get a sense of motion without moving. And they'll be happy, because facts of that sort don't change. Don't give them any slippery stuff like philosophy or sociology to tie things up with. That way lies melancholy.
