The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (USA, 2004) **** - Weird comedy. Weird mixture of cast. Weird dialogs. Weird visual effects. Weird Bowie songs played in Portuguese by Seu Jorge. Weird costumes. Weird film. But it appealed to me. Very much so.
Mr. & Mrs. Smith (USA, 2005) **** - Ok, I know it isn't what people would call "a very good film". But I enjoyed it a lot, laughed a lot, and had a very good time. There were some really corny parts, but besides that, the script was good. So, why not make it four stars? Don't think this movie would've been half as good as it was if it was with other protagonists, though. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were justbloody hot perfect for their parts. Missed a good old blockbuster.
"Why do I get the little gun?"
"You've got to be kidding me."
Movie night today. Theme: I hate Valentine's Day. *grins*
