Nighty-night

Night at the movies was great. I think I'm getting addicted to this.

Kinsey (USA, 2004) **** - Very good movie. Made me think a lot about all the questions that people still ask nowadays about the sexual nature of men and women (just for you to have an idea, it talks about levels. Yes, the levels). It was the first presentation of the film in Brasil and it I believe it will be in theaters soon.

Repulsion (UK, 1965) * - Completely insane. And not in a good way. I know it's Polanski and I should respect him and all, but... Just didn't like it.

Y tu mamá también (Mexico/USA, 2001) **** - It was the surprise movie of the night. And I was surprised indeed, for last time I went there they chose a terrible one. I had already seen it, and it was great to see it again. I just keep on wondering how the hell did the Warner Bros. directors decided to simply hand in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban to this guy. He's great, but... Well, you'd have to see the movie to know what I'm talking about. Maybe they wanted to see some Sirius/Remus scenes.

Next time the festival will be at may the 13th, which will be, as usual, a friday. For that, the theme will be horror movies. Do I have to mention I'll be there?

And today I have experienced again the amazing sensation of watching a film inside at the mind-boggling large screen of Central Plaza's Cinemark's room 10. I definitely missed the quality of the image and sound at that place. I can't even define the sensation. It's like another level or something.

Shi mian mai fu a.k.a House of Flying Daggers (China/Hong Kong) ***** - Five stars for the amazing cinematography, the great story and the battle and dancing scenes which were just fantastic.

Changed the layout! Much better now. And also changed the title.

Hmm, I wonder what the new title means. :p

Oh, Kinsey! That was the movie you watched? Nice! I've heard a lot about it. And House of Flying Daggers, too -- oh my, I envy you so much.

As for Y Tu Mama También, I'll never forget your "i" in the SMS message. Eek! Come on, everyone knows that Steven Kloves is a Remus/Lily shipper.

Good work on the layout! I wonder why you did it...

Me too. This weird girl sent me some latin sentences, and I decided to put it.

Die, lupa, die! I envy you with some things also. Damn you and your library.

It was 6 a.m., for Pete's sake! Give me a break. ¬¬ Well, he could enjoy some eventual slash, couldn't he?

Thanks! So do I.

*Latin!

*dies* *shows off Masters of Rome series, grinning hugely*

...Nah, never. You're usually more sensible at 6 AM. "You're arguing like an old couple," come on!

You're welcome. Copycat.

Oh, here we go again. Feel like being cremated?

Sensible? What the hell do you mean by that? Totally

Oh, tace.

Oh, yay! No, I want a proper Avalon priestess this time, one who can speak Greek, for a change.

As in, you're usually more reasonable at 6AM; you usually make more sense, like right now. I laughed so hard in that part.

Meretrix.

Dammit. Ash won't be able to do it.

And that doesn't make sense at all. Usually people are just not making sense at 6 a.m. Do did I.

Lupa.

Gah, I loved Kinsay. *_*
The part where they talk about sexuality levels! That man is my new hero. u.u

Repulsion scared me. A lot. I don't know if I'm gonna see the horror movies next month. =S

And I don't know what the Warner directors had drunk when they chose Cuarón. But I think he made a good job. That would've been better if Remus and Sirius had kissed in the end too.

I was so shocked when I saw that part. It was utterly amazing.

It kind of scared me too. Didn't make any sense at all. I slept throughout half of the ending for it was just too much.

Probably. Or maybe they just drank a lot of gelinho. You bloody slasher.

Infelizmente naum. :(

Eu tb adorei Y tu mamá! :)

Nhá, que bom que você gosto. Já estouc om saudades, sua puta. ¬¬

Te amo também!

You like bowling, don't you, Montag?

If you don't want a man unhappy politically, don't give him two sides to a question to worry him; give him one. Better yet, give him none. If the government is inefficient, topheavy, and tax-mad, better it be all those than that people worry over it. Peace, Montag. Give the people contests they win by remembering the words to more popular songs or the names of state capitals or how much corn Iowa grew last year. Cram them full of noncombustible data, chock them so damned full of 'facts' they feel stuffed, but absolutely 'brilliant' with information. Then they'll feel like they're thinking, they'll get a sense of motion without moving. And they'll be happy, because facts of that sort don't change. Don't give them any slippery stuff like philosophy or sociology to tie things up with. That way lies melancholy.
