... A girl called Linda Brouster was born. Some years later, she came to Brazil with her parents. Berely did she know at that time that she would meet a girl from São Paulo. And that this girl would introduce her to another. The name of these two girls are Luiza Araujo and Stella Block.
Berely did she know that these two girls would love her, desire her, think about her, count the days to her return, talk about her, and even dream about her. Berely did she know that whenever she would connect to the internet, these girls would call each other and stop whatever they were doing just to be able to say "hi" to her. Barely did she know that her life would be turned into hell my her parents, that she would go to a boarding school and then be pratically kidnapped to Russia by her mother to start living a life of lies... Just when the three of them were closer.
Yes... My friend Pi has gone to Russia. It's been almost 4 months now. It will take two years for her to come back. If she comes back. God... I hate that "if". I just know that no matter how long I have to wait, no matter the distance of 11792 kilometers between us, no matter how long we stay without talking to each other... I know. I just know that someday... The three of us will be free. We will see each other finally... And we will laugh of the past. All that torment will be but a shadow that can no longer hunt us.
Pi... Happy birthday! Enjoy your 16th year in the best way you can over there! I love you. And I'm waiting for you. As I always will.

"Makin' my way downtown,
Walkin' fast,
Faces pass and I'm homebound.
Starin' blankly ahead,
Just makin' my way,
Makin' a way through the crowd.

And I need you,
And I miss you,
And now I wonder...

If I could fall into the sky,
Do you think time
would pass me by?
'Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles
If I could just see you...
Tonight.

It's always times like these
When I think of you,
And wonder if you ever think of me.
'Cause everything's so wrong
And I don't belong.
Livin' in your precious memory.

I, I, don't wanna let you know
I, I, drown in your memory.
I, I, don't wanna let this go.
I, I, don't.

Makin' my way downtown,
Walkin' fast,
Faces pass and I'm homebound.

If I could fall into the sky,
Do you think time would pass me by?
'Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles
If I could just see you.

If I could just hold you....
Tonight."
- Vanessa Carlton, "1000 Miles"

Today Killer came over... We were going to watch "The Craft" (we said we would see thif film togheter a long time ago). I went to the video club but it was alrealdy rented. A little dissapointed I was ready to go back home when the clerck asked if I wanted to rent "Kill Bill - Vol.2", after all, it is not even in the movies here yet (coming up this friday! \o/)! I had already watched, but, as had watched the "Kill Bill - Vol.1" with Killer and we said we'd watch togheter the second one, I decided to rent it. Plus, she would love to see this movie before it was in the teathers.
I got home and told her I had rented "The Craft". When she saw it was "Kill Bill - Vol.2" she totally freaked out! It was the cutest thing! Anyway... We watched it. I loved to see it again and Killer loved to see it for the first time! Quentin Tarantino is the best director when it comes to violent-philosophical movies!

*SPOILERS!*

"Elle: What's that?
Kiddo: Budd's Hanzo sword.
Elle: He said he pawned it.
Kiddo: I guess that makes him a liar now, don't it?

Kiddo: Elle?
Elle: Bea.
Kiddo: Somethin' I've always been curious about. Just between us girls... What did you say to Pai Mei to make him snatch out your eye?
Elle: I called him a miserable old fool.
Kiddo: Ooh. Bad idea.
Elle: Know what I did? I killed that miserable old fool. I poisoned his fish heads. And I told him: 'To me, the word of an old fool like you is worth less than nothing.' That's right. I killed you master. And now I'm gonna kill you, too. With your own sword, no less. Witch, in the very immediate future will become my sword.
Kiddo: Bitch... You don't have a future." - Dialogue pre-battle of Kiddo and Elle, in "Kill Bill - Vol.2"

This is one of the best dialogues in the movie. Actually, this movie is a lot more about dialogues that actions, like the first one. And Tarantino has the power of mixing them up with perfecion.

You like bowling, don't you, Montag?

If you don't want a man unhappy politically, don't give him two sides to a question to worry him; give him one. Better yet, give him none. If the government is inefficient, topheavy, and tax-mad, better it be all those than that people worry over it. Peace, Montag. Give the people contests they win by remembering the words to more popular songs or the names of state capitals or how much corn Iowa grew last year. Cram them full of noncombustible data, chock them so damned full of 'facts' they feel stuffed, but absolutely 'brilliant' with information. Then they'll feel like they're thinking, they'll get a sense of motion without moving. And they'll be happy, because facts of that sort don't change. Don't give them any slippery stuff like philosophy or sociology to tie things up with. That way lies melancholy.
