So... Today I went to the movies with a friend from school, Luis Felipe. I was going anyway with Bianca, but she couldn't make it. At climbing class I asked him if he wanted to go, and he said he did. We left school and I decided to walk all the way to the nearest lottery (near Lunna's place), to put some credit in my bus pass (quite recent system here in São Paulo), now that it finally arrived.

We talked a lot, and I kept on wandering wheater I should tell him about my sexuality. I just hate hiding it, and I can take for granted that he wouldn't mind. The problem is: I was afraid that he could tell to his best friend and then spread it around the school. Almost everyone there is quite OK with homossexuality, but I don't feel secure yet.

Anyway... When we got to the lottery, they said the system was down, and I would only be back tomorrow. I was kinda mad, but, what could I do, right? We went to the bus stop and took the first bus that could take us to Av. Paulista, for we were running late. We got there, and I stopedd in a bus pass (Bilhete Único) stand that was in the sidewalk to ask if the system was really down, and the woman said we could try the lottery in Center 3. And there went. Thank God their system was on. I bought 50 passes (R$42,50. I pay half 'cause I'm a student!) for my card, after some 15 minutes in line. Luis bought an orange juice, and In the meantime, he told me all about the "Buffy" series.

We watched "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" , with Jim Carrey, Kate Winslet, Kirsten Dunst, and Elijah Wood! All the cast is AMAZING. And I mean it. The movie tells a story of a man (Joel, played by Carrey) who falls in love with a woman (Clementine, played by Winslet). But one day he finds out she has deleted him from her mind.

Seems wierd? Well... What did you expect from the writer of "Adaptation." and "Being John Malkovich", Charlie Kaufman? I have to say: I am a Kaufman fan! Actually, I often see Kaufmans that write for Hollywood. One of the "F.R.I.E.N.D.S." writers is a Kauffman (Marta Kauffman)! The story is told in a very exotic order, the special effetcs are just beautiful to see, and the script... Well, the script IS the movie. The direction and editing is to droll for! WATCH IT!

Clementine has three diferent colors of hair during the movie: Blue, red and orange. With her white skin, all the three look GORGEOUS! But the best is the red... I'm just totally in love with red heads *roll*.

I left Luis at the cinema (he would wait for his mom) and started to walk home. Stopped by the video club to deliver "Kill Bill - Vol. 2"; stopped by the bank to get some money; and then went to "Galeria Ouro Fino", a sort of underground shopping around here. I am going to have my mom convince my father for me to taint my hair there (the beauty parlor is called "Mundorama"). It's less expensive. Plus, that was the place I first got my hair tainted, and they have the exact mixture I like. Killer will have a red head for herself for some time if I can do it... I scheduled an appointment there friday anyway, and cancelled the one I had tomorrow at another parlour (the one my father likes me to taint my hair on).

*Prays for everything to turn out OK and have red hair by friday*.

Diana and are coming on friday to São Paulo! I can't stand waiting anymore! This holiday will be the holiday! My life is in a very happy moment right now... A lot of things that were wrong are finally working out! I just hope this moment take a long time to pass...

You like bowling, don't you, Montag?

If you don't want a man unhappy politically, don't give him two sides to a question to worry him; give him one. Better yet, give him none. If the government is inefficient, topheavy, and tax-mad, better it be all those than that people worry over it. Peace, Montag. Give the people contests they win by remembering the words to more popular songs or the names of state capitals or how much corn Iowa grew last year. Cram them full of noncombustible data, chock them so damned full of 'facts' they feel stuffed, but absolutely 'brilliant' with information. Then they'll feel like they're thinking, they'll get a sense of motion without moving. And they'll be happy, because facts of that sort don't change. Don't give them any slippery stuff like philosophy or sociology to tie things up with. That way lies melancholy.
