We accept you, one of us!

Didn't do much on Thursday.

Woke up late; watched Forrest Gump; went to the video club almost drowning myself and my sister inside the puddles of water due to the heavy rain; bought mum's birthday present and a DVD for myself; walked back home.

At night, [livejournal.com profile] defexxx, [livejournal.com profile] deadcinderella, [livejournal.com profile] porn_kid and [livejournal.com profile] _wendybarrie came to my place. We had some nice chats, and I ended up sleeping particularly early, because of my former lack of sleep.

Yesterday we saw the KP's; went to Aline's place (I had a lot of little braids do to my hair by her); drank açaí juice at Bibi (best juice place in the city) and saw [livejournal.com profile] magnun and [livejournal.com profile] stheh, whom finally got here.

Later, some of the people came over to [livejournal.com profile] christycorr's (whom I have feeling so appealing that now will be our official hostess in Rio. Told you not to go there. xD), and we had pizza and talked.

Tried to watch Sideways but we both fell asleep. Mental note: not ever attempt to see this film at 6 a.m. after a sleepless night.

8h12 right now; will need energy and a lot of patience to go to Potter Rio.

I just hope...

*sighs*

I'll just keep my hopes low.

Forrest Gump (USA, 1994) **** - Yes, I had never seen it. Very good film. Great critique to the USA. Just love sarcastic films. Could have been much shorter, though.

"- Have you found Jesus yet, Gump?
- I didn't know I was supposed to be looking for him, sir. "
- Lieutenant Dan and Forrest Gump, Forrest Gump.

Post scriptum: Christy, I hope you got the title.

That's from The Dreamers, and they're quoting another old movie. ^^

Eu assisti Forrest Gump na volta pra SP \o\

You like bowling, don't you, Montag?

If you don't want a man unhappy politically, don't give him two sides to a question to worry him; give him one. Better yet, give him none. If the government is inefficient, topheavy, and tax-mad, better it be all those than that people worry over it. Peace, Montag. Give the people contests they win by remembering the words to more popular songs or the names of state capitals or how much corn Iowa grew last year. Cram them full of noncombustible data, chock them so damned full of 'facts' they feel stuffed, but absolutely 'brilliant' with information. Then they'll feel like they're thinking, they'll get a sense of motion without moving. And they'll be happy, because facts of that sort don't change. Don't give them any slippery stuff like philosophy or sociology to tie things up with. That way lies melancholy.
