lu: (A little unwell.)
Left Fran's; walked home; two more Tarantino Films; supermarket; sleep.

Shopping with mum; lunch at Ritz (restaurant with great waiters food, in my neighbourhood); reading at the hotel; Shopping Higienópolis; Paulista; Habib's; Pulp Fiction ("I still think Bruce Wills is boring"); trying to see a movie; "Don't want to go back to school".

Home; end of potential OD; The League of Extraordinary Gentleman; dinner with Peks at Ritz; home again.

"Look, you brought her her, and that means that you're giving her the shot. The day that I bring an OD-ing bitch over to your house, then I'll give her the shot. Give her the shot." - Lance, Pulp Fiction.

(Not sure if I've ever wrote anything about this movie here, but I'd like to point out that it is absolutely perfect, best quotes ever, and, perhaps, my favourite Tarantino. Sometimes five stars are just not enough.)

Four Rooms (USA, 1995) **** - Good as a comedy is supposed to be. The two last stories are definitely the best. Tim Roth (getting used to this guy) was very, very good in his part. Great script. *bows* The first two stories aren't that brilliant, thus the four.

"Problem? I haven't got a problem. I've got fucking problems. Plural." - Ted the Bellhop, Four Rooms.

Jackie Brown (USA, 1997) **** - It is a great film, but, as far as my opinion goes, the worst Tarantino. I know the whole "don't compare Hanzo Swords" thing, but it hasn't got a such a great script, and I just know that my beloved director could've done better. It is good anyway, very, very good. Was a bit sleepy, so maybe I should watch it again sometime.

"Well, I've flown seven million miles, and I've been waiting on people almost 20 years. The best job I could get after my bust was Cabo Air, which is the worst job you can get in this industry. I make about sixteen thousand, with retirement benefits, that ain't worth a damn. And now with this arrest hanging over my head I'm scared. If I lose my job I gotta start all over again, but I got nothing to start over with. I'll be stuck with whatever I can get. And that shit is scarier than Ordell." - Jackie Brown, Jackie Brown.

Tired. Very tired.

Two more days. *sighs* I swear I can't possibly go back.

Pulp Fiction is simply too good for words. *____*

Do you have the ring?

Yep. Except the part where Bruce Wills is walking.

I shot Marvin in the face!

And the credits.

What did you just do to that towel?

True.

Great. We stop at the same time to watch the five-dollar-shake scene.

Right. I'll shut up now, or else I'll run out of quotes for the other thread. *runs*

I've still got one whole week on vacation *____*
And, probably, a very light time-table ^ ^

You like bowling, don't you, Montag?

If you don't want a man unhappy politically, don't give him two sides to a question to worry him; give him one. Better yet, give him none. If the government is inefficient, topheavy, and tax-mad, better it be all those than that people worry over it. Peace, Montag. Give the people contests they win by remembering the words to more popular songs or the names of state capitals or how much corn Iowa grew last year. Cram them full of noncombustible data, chock them so damned full of 'facts' they feel stuffed, but absolutely 'brilliant' with information. Then they'll feel like they're thinking, they'll get a sense of motion without moving. And they'll be happy, because facts of that sort don't change. Don't give them any slippery stuff like philosophy or sociology to tie things up with. That way lies melancholy.
