lu: (Numb)
On Monday I've finally got all of my grades for the last trimester in school besides Project, for that never comes out on time. Here is the final result of all the stress:

History: 9,5
Geography: 9,5
Philosophy: 9,5
Biology: 8,5
Physics: 8,5
Chemistry: 10,0
Portuguese: 10,0
English: 10,0
Hist. of Art: 10,0
Math: 9,0
Project (first trimester): 10,0

*looks up* Honestly, I thought I would do much better. Actually, I know I could've done better. Still can't believe I got both 8,5s because of a frigging 8,7. One bloody tenth. If it was 8,8 then my grade would be 9,0. So, so, so mad at myself for that. And I won't even start talking about the pathetic 6,75 that I got a log exam, which ended up lowering my Math grade.

Thank you for everyone that put up with emo!wining!stupid!nerd!workaholic!worried!neurotic!school!Lu during the last trimester. I know I was a pain.

Already packed with work for the last term. *sighs*

Two months to the end of school year and counting! o/

Post scriptum: *points to the title of the post* That is a quote from a film. The dialog is something like this:

"In the end that's all that really matters, isn't it?"

"What?"

"Love."

I beg anyone that knows where this is from to let me know. Been looking for that in ages.

Hum. Bacchus it is. More Roman-ish!

You like bowling, don't you, Montag?

If you don't want a man unhappy politically, don't give him two sides to a question to worry him; give him one. Better yet, give him none. If the government is inefficient, topheavy, and tax-mad, better it be all those than that people worry over it. Peace, Montag. Give the people contests they win by remembering the words to more popular songs or the names of state capitals or how much corn Iowa grew last year. Cram them full of noncombustible data, chock them so damned full of 'facts' they feel stuffed, but absolutely 'brilliant' with information. Then they'll feel like they're thinking, they'll get a sense of motion without moving. And they'll be happy, because facts of that sort don't change. Don't give them any slippery stuff like philosophy or sociology to tie things up with. That way lies melancholy.
