Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own

Você acha que o show do dia 20...

Eu caguei pro show do dia 20!

I never, ever, thought that the show would've been half of what it was. I wouldn't be exaggerating in saying that it was probably one of the best shows of U2's career. Everyone (seventy three thousand people) knew how to sing along toevery single song. And I cried, and I cried, and I cried.

I'm sorry, but I can't really put down in words what happened at that stadium yesterday. My aching body and the certainty feeling that U2 is the best band in the world speak for themselves.

Track List:

City of Blinding Lights
Vertigo
Elevation
Until the End of the World
New Years Day
Still Haven’t Found What I'm Looking For
Beautiful Day
The First Time
Desire
Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own
Love and Peace or Else
Sunday Bloody Sunday
Bullet the Blue Sky
Miss Sarajevo
Pride (in the Name of Love)
Where the Streets Have No Name
One
Zoo Station
The Fly
Mysterious Ways
With or Without You
Yahweh
All I Want is You/Love Rescue Me

As Bono himself said (in Portuguese): "Ontem nós cantamos ao vivo para todo o Brasil. Hoje é nossa festinha particular." ("Yesterday we played live on TV for all Brazilians. Today is our little private party.")

I'm really happy for you guys who went to the show!
It's not a band I like, but, dude, I heard people singing here in my house, clearly! In both days. It was really good to know you guys were there, and, seriously, I was hoping one of you would be called to be on stage with Bono xD

But, anyway, I'm happy for you. xD
I know what's like to watch your favorite band live. I know Good Charlotte is not even near U2, but still they are my favorite band.

Miss you! ^_____^

And I hope you're ok, ok? xD

Lovvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee you!!!!!!! A LOT!

This is where I sound ignorant. Is Bono brazilian or something? Maybe he just randomly can speak portuguese?

I have to say I love U2, but they are far from my favourite band. I have too many favourite bands.

No, no. He's Irish. He learned some Portuguese to be able to say those things. Which was very cute of him. ^^

They're not my favourite band either, but they're getting there.

That's what I thought. I could've sworn he was irish, but I got confused *picture of jess holding her head, face screwed up*

Lol.

Cute of him!

Ohhh that sounds awesome! So so awesome! I know it was hard for me to explain how it was to see the Backstreet Boys and they are not the like the best band or whatever, but they used to be my everything way back, so yeah, I can understand that it's hard to explain what it was like.

I'm just sooooo glad to hear that you had a great time!

Private, dearest, not privet. (Privets are a type of flower, if I'm not mistaken, and the name of the street where Harry Potter's aunt and uncle live.)

And exaggerating.

"The best show of U2's..."

"Everyone...knew how to sing along to..."

*laughs* Aside from correcting the errors...

I'm glad you had a good time; it sounds like it was a party.

*is still envious*

(I thought about that when I wrote it. Knew there was something wrong. *grins*)

Thanks for correcting me, Runi. You know that's always welcome.

It as a party indeed. *grins*

*still says that could carry you in a bag*

(*laughs* Well, trust your instincts.)

You're welcome. You want to speak English the best you can, of course, so I'll...help out, whenever you want me to.

*smiles* I'm sure it was.

*still says there would have been issues with pressure and air in the airplane*

Ow! *hits back*

Do I really have towrite in english? ._.
I'm not good at it.
Anyway...
I think they'll come back. I just feel it. Maybe it takes a few years... but they will.
Even if they make a concert bigger than that, I can't imagine one more cheerfull. And also... Bono is having an affair with Lula. =X
And I'll go in the next U2 concert in Brazil, no matter where.
VEJA said that the ticket's price is much higher in other countries... but U2 earn an specific wage for all their shows, don't they?

If they take too long to return here, I'll meet them in other place. >_<
(In a far future, of course... When they'll be like Rolling Stones. X_X)

Well, a bunch of people reply in Portuguese, so, really, it's your choice.

I believe they will come back as well, and honestly hope that that will be on the tour for the next album. The concert was... perfect. It'll be hard to make a better one.

Someone told me that in Argentina it was something around U$600,00. A total absurd. I do believe that the prices are high on account of all the gear they have and all... But a good part of it definitely goes to the producers of each country.

Well, we can always go to Ireland. *laughs*
(I hope that Bono doesn't look like a retired transvestor by then).

Sim, exatamente! Eu conhecia bem menos U2 antes de dezembro, mas a minha namorada me deu um curso na banda. xD

Mas foi lindo, sim. xD

You like bowling, don't you, Montag?

If you don't want a man unhappy politically, don't give him two sides to a question to worry him; give him one. Better yet, give him none. If the government is inefficient, topheavy, and tax-mad, better it be all those than that people worry over it. Peace, Montag. Give the people contests they win by remembering the words to more popular songs or the names of state capitals or how much corn Iowa grew last year. Cram them full of noncombustible data, chock them so damned full of 'facts' they feel stuffed, but absolutely 'brilliant' with information. Then they'll feel like they're thinking, they'll get a sense of motion without moving. And they'll be happy, because facts of that sort don't change. Don't give them any slippery stuff like philosophy or sociology to tie things up with. That way lies melancholy.
