lu: (Great misunderstanding)
So, I'm here to defend that Windows Vista did not steal ideas from Mac OS. In order to do that, I will show you a video.

Microsoft can be so pathetic sometimes.

God! I loved the irony of this video! xD

And come on! Microsoft every nerd in the planet know that microsoft copy a lot of things from mac os, since they released the windows 1.0...

But justice have to be done: there is a lot of things that apple copy too. Things like the widgets are old concepts, that the apple just put in his Mac Os and improve that with the apple quality =)

Copy in the computer world isn't a bad thing. Really good ideas that make the user experience easier should be a default in computer world ans systems.

What I REALLY dislike in Microsoft is that they change everything to a close plataform. They took the concept of XUL, que code that create the windows in Firefox, change a little things and called that XAML.

We, poor developers, have now a huge problem to create TWO files to something that do the SAME thing ¬¬"

THIS is that make Microsoft sucks xP
Anyways, I'm happy with Windows XP...

I was wondering what you were going to say about all this.

Of course, I get what you mean. I just thought the video was fantastic, and what I didn't like about this whole Vista thing is the ammount of credit for innovation Microsoft if getting when there are so many things like this. But the irony of the video is just amazing.

Poor programmer! *pats*

I HAVE to show this video to my nerd friends! I have a microsoft fanatic friend, I would like to say what HE have to say :P

And of course, the marketing is able to change the owner of any innovation. And the Microsoft Marketing Department is one of the best of them... /o/

But... Forget Vista! Let's start to complain about Internet Explorer 7!!! /o\

Why can't we forget Internet Explorer 7 too and just be happy with Firefox 2.0? =D It's cute, and it's underlining every wrong word I write *O*
*is in love*

Anyway, I can't see the video, it just loads until a certain part and then puf.

Try to lead it all and then just put the mouse over the part that stops, then it goes back to normal.

Firefox 2.0 is total love, that is true (even though I fell for Camino).

Fuck IE!

V FOR VISTA!

You like bowling, don't you, Montag?

If you don't want a man unhappy politically, don't give him two sides to a question to worry him; give him one. Better yet, give him none. If the government is inefficient, topheavy, and tax-mad, better it be all those than that people worry over it. Peace, Montag. Give the people contests they win by remembering the words to more popular songs or the names of state capitals or how much corn Iowa grew last year. Cram them full of noncombustible data, chock them so damned full of 'facts' they feel stuffed, but absolutely 'brilliant' with information. Then they'll feel like they're thinking, they'll get a sense of motion without moving. And they'll be happy, because facts of that sort don't change. Don't give them any slippery stuff like philosophy or sociology to tie things up with. That way lies melancholy.
