lu: (Total agony of being in love)
It's my first Valentine's Day "alone" since I first started dating, and that's a rather weird feeling.

When I was fourteen years old, I kissed a boy for the first time, had two boyfriends, kissed a girl for the first time and had two girlfriends. I've dated two girls when I was fifteen, and another one when I was sixteen, that lasted until August of last year.

Basically, I've been skipping from one relationship to another, non-stop, for almost four years now. That, I believe, has made me rather spoiled in a way, and not used to life as a single girl.

It is good, though, to just go with the flow, don't worry about relationships and just be on your own for a while; I just find it strange that I didn't fall in love with someone new yet (which usually happens to me quicker than usual after breaking up), and even stranger that I didn't take a true interest in (read: thought it possible to have a relationship with) any girl I've been with or met during the last five months.

...any girl who lives in this part of the American continent, anyway.

It makes me wonder whether I've suddenly (or maybe it was a gradual process) became an extremely picky person, or if I've just been meeting the wrong type people for me.

It scares me to be almost certain the former is the right answer.

Happy Valentine's, you all! I hope you get to celebrate with your loved ones, be them boyfriends, girlfriends, friends or your pet parrots.

I don't think you need to be that scared of that. I mean, you're still so young, so it's okay and maybe good that for now you're on your own. That is, if you can enjoy it. Because it also sorta sounds like you worry a lot about. Maybe if you don't, you'll find someone again where you don't feel too picky with. I hope so at least *hugs*

I've never had someone on valentines day
except once
he forgot, and decided to go work out of town that day

p.s. picky isn't bad, it means you won't settle for less than what you want

Happy Valentine's day, dog. ^^'

Te amo e não esquenta, seu "right type of people" tá só esperando pelo momento certo pra aparecer (ou você simplesmente não está vendo - e isso não é uma indireta xD).

PS. Descobri que minha aula na quarta começa às 15h! Me manda seus horários? Fiz uma senha no site da PUC e tô me achando muito chique.

Well, it's my first Valentine's with someone, although I'm not seeing them today because he's working and I was at a uni open day all day.

I don't think it's made you spoiled. Although my perspective is completely different: first kissed a guy when I was seventeen, first kissed a girl when I was seventeen and got my first boyfriend three months ago. I'm a little late on the relationships front =] but then again my dad is Catholic and my mum stifling.

I just find it strange that I didn't fall in love with someone new yet (which usually happens to me quicker than usual after breaking up), and even stranger that I didn't take a true interest in (read: thought it possible to have a relationship with) any girl I've been with or met during the last five months.

How about England??? Hehe.

You're not picky! Even if you are, you're still gorgeous =]

Oh, by the way, funnily enough my mum and I had a talk today about where I'd love to visit in the next couple of years. Brazil came up several times =] My mum's said that if I save then she'll let me go wherever, so maybe I'll meet you and Christy one of these days!

Take care sweetie! ♥

You like bowling, don't you, Montag?

If you don't want a man unhappy politically, don't give him two sides to a question to worry him; give him one. Better yet, give him none. If the government is inefficient, topheavy, and tax-mad, better it be all those than that people worry over it. Peace, Montag. Give the people contests they win by remembering the words to more popular songs or the names of state capitals or how much corn Iowa grew last year. Cram them full of noncombustible data, chock them so damned full of 'facts' they feel stuffed, but absolutely 'brilliant' with information. Then they'll feel like they're thinking, they'll get a sense of motion without moving. And they'll be happy, because facts of that sort don't change. Don't give them any slippery stuff like philosophy or sociology to tie things up with. That way lies melancholy.
