So this year I had the privilege of making my mandatory Gay Pride Parade post at Rachel's amazing blog, Riogringa.com.

Rachel is a New Yorker who started blogging on her impressions of her experience here in Brazil, where she lived for a couple of years. I've started reading her blog after christycorr referenced it somewhere, and have since become a huge fan. Funnily enough I didn't get to meet her in person while she was still in Rio, but only after she moved back to New York, and I myself was there. Her insights on Brazilian culture, politics and history are particularly impressive, and her comparisons with the "American Dream" lifestyle are an eye-opener, and often pretty amusing (though sometimes it gets me a little more worried about Brazil than I usually am).
